Infinite, 2025
An intensified study of perception and psychological presence, isolating the eye as both subject and threshold.
About the Artwork
Infinite centers on the eye as a site of sustained attention. Executed in charcoal with precise tonal control, the work holds the gaze in a state of heightened focus; alert, contained, and unresolved.
The drawing attends to structure with measured clarity, allowing anatomy and perception to coexist. Subtle gradations of shadow articulate the curvature of the eye and surrounding forms, while the framing isolates the gaze from narrative context.
Rather than depicting expression, Infinite sustains presence. The eye does not react or retreat; it remains, inviting prolonged looking and resisting closure.
